MISSION
Empire Welding & Machining Ltd. delivers quality manufacturing solutions, invests in our workforce, and supports Saskatchewan’s economic growth.
VISION
Empire Welding & Machining Ltd. will be the trusted partner in Saskatchewan manufacturing, recognized for delivering exceptional quality, fostering a thriving workforce, and contributing to the region’s economic growth.
Empire Welding and Machining Ltd., was founded by the Esquirol family in 1986 in the city of North Battleford, Saskatchewan and is currently headed by company President, Joseph Esquirol. We initially started as a repair shop that worked on everything from shaft rebuilds, to repairing frames on trailers and even remaking broken parts that were obsolete. After listening to customers and hearing about their other issues around the farm, Empire started designing and creating their own line of products to help address those issues.

In 1993, Empire engineered and developed land-rollers and land-packers that are known as the UltraPacker brand name. A complete line of Empire Gauge Wheels for Draper headers was introduced in 1997 and since then has become the premier product of Gauge Wheels for the North American agricultural market. In 1999 a new product line, the UltraScraper, was developed for leveling and smoothing surfaces efficiently, accommodating industries such as landscaping, agriculture and construction. Another product developed was the UltraPlow in 2001, is an effective ‘all-in-one’ unit for installing cable and irrigation lines up to 24 inches in the ground.

Empire uses modern technology to achieve high performance throughout our systems. One of those modern technologies Empire uses is an ERP system to manage the flow of information. From a sale being made, to an order of products being manufactured, purchasing of tools or raw materials, tracking of our labour costs, to packaging and shipping of a product to a customer, we control all of our systems to deliver a high quality and consistent product every time. Another piece of technology we use is our 3D CAD system, SolidWorks, to design new ideas, modify and improve current products, analyze for strength and performance, create detailed drawings and even render high quality photos for marketing and advertising.

Through other partnerships with organizations such as the Saskatchewan Institute of Indian Technology (SIIT), the North West College and all levels of government, we can provide the highest quality training and advancement opportunities to our employees. Our comprehensive programs provide opportunities for employees to gain valuable education and certification.
